Recommendations

The front derailleur adapter is designed to reposition the derailleur so that its cage follows the curvature of the large chainring with a consistent clearance along the entire circumference. Without the adapter, the lower edge of the derailleur cage is not properly aligned with the 56T chainring and may result in poor or inconsistent front shifting

ALUGEAR front derailleur Adapter

Precision-engineered to optimize front shifting when using large chainrings on road double setups.

Installing a larger front chainring often requires adjusting the position and angle of the front derailleur cage. The ALUGEAR adapter repositions the front derailleur slightly backward and subtly changes the cage angle by 1°. This ensures that the gap between the derailleur cage and the front chainring teeth is the same along the entire length of the cage.

Using the ALUGEAR adapter allows for fine-tuned derailleur alignment and optimal drivetrain performance with large front chainrings.

Accurate front derailleur setup is critical. Please pay special attention during installation and adjustment, as shifting precision and long-term reliability depend on correct alignment.
